Affordable Housing Development

Community-Led. Strengthening Roots. Built to Last.

At WE STAY/Nos Quedamos, housing is more than buildings — it’s the foundation for dignity, stability, and community power. Our journey began with a promise to keep families in their neighborhood, and that promise continues to guide every development we take on.

Over time, our role in affordable housing has evolved. What started in co-partnerships with limited control has grown into full community ownership. Today, WE STAY/Nos Quedamos serves as the managing member and long-term steward of multiple developments within Melrose and growing — taking full responsibility for their operations, sustainability, and most importantly, their impact on residents’ lives.

This transformation is about more than management - it’s about leadership and accountability.
We are demonstrating that when the community leads, housing can be both affordable and excellent — safe, well-maintained, and rooted in the values of equity and inclusion.

Our Mission in Action

Preserving Affordability, Protecting Home:

We safeguard affordability for generations of South Bronx families, ensuring that long-term residents aren’t priced out of their own community.

Excellence in Stewardship:

Through proactive management and local oversight, we maintain housing that is safe, sustainable, and built to last.

Community at the Center:

Residents aren’t just tenants — we ensure residents and local leaders have a meaningful role in how housing is managed and developed.

Measuring What Matters:

We track our impact — to ensure every project remains financially strong, environmentally responsible, and socially equitable.

Every home we manage, every partnership we build, and every family we support moves us closer to our vision: a South Bronx where residents have the power, opportunity, and stability to thrive — and to stay.
